A lot of people prefer unix and vim for lightweight applications and Mac using Unix is closer to that than windows, but still use whatever suits you best, OSes are insubstantial

I code on Windows using WSL. Having PC-level computing resources has been so much better for development.

The didn't creat VS_Code, Vs_Code is Sublime Text which was created by the community, they bought it and rebranded it as if they came up with it, but they didn't. Same with git, etc.

Just switched to macOS after 20 years of windoze and linux. I love it!
