Heat dissipation and the evaporative process are the keys to staying dry and warm. Merino wool and the ability not to stink is incredible!

Ive tried all different types of insulation. At minus 60 up in alaska my merino clothes kept me warm and able to work. Goose down was great until it got wet. Hanging wet down takes to long to dry and then fluff back up without bunching/clumping. For 3 years i used merino wool. I gave my down clothes away. 😊 JMHO

It is not clear, what is better then Merino? Can someone please answer directly this question because to listen 24 minutes to just get an answer to this question is too much for me now.

I've worn Merino as hunting base layers and it works great. There is no noticeable smell compared to synthetic. After one day synthetic STINKS. Now if I didn't care about scent and was only going for a day, I'd probably wear synthetic. I use syns for running in cold weather.

I invested in the Women's Merino Wool Capsule Wardrobe by Unbound Merino. Their products are very hood. They have more men's clothes than women's clothes

Slept in merino and roasted, tried fleece/polyester the next night and was very cold. Both were comparable thicknesses. Polyester smells after a few hours, with merino I can go days and days.

You got hunter and bushcraft guys that vouche for merino wool that mostly when it is worn for long period of times doesn't stink. Plus it wicks moist and still keeps warm.

Even after a year only a few have seen this. I’m a wildland fire fighter and a wilderness first aid instructor. This is a big (old) idea. Thermal/Moisture management is paramount.

hey great video i learned a lot, would a wool inner layer of mesh wool be as good as synthetics, in my experience mesh wool dries super fast as well, have a great day :)
