Quick and easy-peasy! My son needs a cosplay taken in at the waist. He'll likely grow into the pants in another year or so, so I don't want to permanently alter them. Problem solved! 🙏✌️💝

This works SOOO GOOD!! OMG thank you! Dress pants with fairly thick waistband, no buttons or belt loops to work with.
I had initially folded an inch of fabric on the waistband and was trying to put a safety pin through the entire thing (from the inside to the outside and back) but the fabric is just too thick and as soon as I tried to put the pants back on, the safety pin popped right open 🤣
But pinching the fabric to the inside and putting the safety pin in the way you show here worked PERFECTLY and is staying put ! Thank you 💜🙏😊

Thanks! I have some lovely trousers with a waist that's too large, I was going to try folding them over but then i have to wear a top to cover it all! I want to wear them with a nice shirt or blouse. Now I think I can!!!

Thank you! I bought a pair of pants from Poshmark that I really love, but I suspect they might have a bit of a gap in the waist. I'm going to try this when they arrive before taking them to a tailor.
