You better think before you comment, I'm a man of my word.

Just a note for any new players, "support fighter" is *usually* a code word for "its not very good"

The G91 is my objective, it has been my childhood, I’ve seen it in countless museums in Italy, my grandfather helped design it, it has always been dear to my heart, seeing it fly for one last time at the 100th anniversary of the Aeronautica Militare Italiana was amazing, I sometimes go to see it in museums and it’s gorgeous, not far from my city too! It looks amazing, it handles well, it was the chosen aircraft for the Frecce Tricolori before the MB-339 and it looks “happy” and funny, I have a bond with that aircraft.

Starting from tier 6 and up not all planes are based on foreign designs, since the Panavia Tornado was developed by Italy.

Little fun fact, french and german aviation history shared similarities in fighter categorization during the interwars of thinking single engined nimble fighters are a thing of the past and wanted to opt out for more "elegant" in their mind multi turreted heavier designs that would be used as gunships. The result of this was the Potez 630 and Bf 110 respectively, while they "condescendingly" regarded their single engine fighters as light fighters, hence there was only a certain amount of development put into it. Hence the Bf 109 only was started to get replaced or faced competitors after the massive failure of the Bf 110 over the Battle of Britain, where at last the doctrine of multi turreted fighters was deemed ineffective for the main role.

For the Sm.91/92, I personally prefer the 92’s maneuverability and roll rate, and is a bit stronger, unlike the 91, who can’t even last long im arcade without losing its tail. The 92’s back gun is basically dead weight, but if you like playing Bf 110 C/F, you’ll like the SM.92

I feel it should've been mentioned to any prospective players looking to get into France that for tiers 1-2 you may get 20 mil cannons (only 60 rounds), but only ONE per plane mounted through the engine. I'm actually amazed this wasn't mentioned. Trigger discipline is absolutely paramount to your success with these planes!

I love the italian tech tree. I am currently subjecting myself to hell and grinding out the G.91 preproduction with only module research bonuses. so far I am 25k in so I am a quarter of the way there without doing anything.

As a french guy I have to say that a was not able to understand what you were saying without the text. But it is clear that I had fun and you explained as a real french guy would do it, merci citoyen !

As a proud and unapologetic Italian main, I approve! Couldn't have said it better, in fact.

Low-tier and mid-tier props are some of the best fun you'll ever have in Air RB, and once you master them, you'll feel it like never before. Fighters are lean, attackers are mean, and bombers are... okay. I think they're actually pretty good, just very poor defenses. Speed and bomb load made them very smooth and simple grinding.

Jets are unfortunately not as good, but we do get some interesting options, including some not added yet, like the AMX ground attacker. I had one hell of a nightmarish time spading all of the planes up to top-tier though, let me tell you about the F-104S stock grind before it had countermeasures...

F-16A ADF won't stay one of the best for long, but it'll eventually get AIM-120s. AV-8B gives us AIM-9Ms, so there's that. Typhoon... someday!
