@Crucial - one important thing you leave out. The SSD is not going to be recognized by Acronis Clone Disk utility until the SSD is initialized in Windows Disk Management. I had to initialize it first then, I could run Acronis Clone disk to clone my existing hard drive.

Just used this process (Parts 1 to 4) to swap a Crucial SSD into a laptop that had an HDD. It worked flawlessly, however I suspect there have been ongoing changes to some of the menus and prompts. Perhaps you could update these videos to reflect any changes? The Crucial MX500 is super-fast.

Can anyone please answer this question: Don't you have to initialize the SSD first. These instructions just talk about hooking up the SSD and going right to the cloning software.
