The French people in Paris AND in French Canada are no where near this polite, but have great comebacks and discrete roasts 😂

I found that most Parisians were fairly welcoming and helpful to me when I was there.
That being said I could make it pretty far into a conversation before I started struggling in French and by that point they seemed to appreciate my effort with the language enough to happily help with some supplemental English. Several people even kindly taught me more French.

For those who don't understand:
1) Eating on foot
2) Greeting random strangers (nobody greets and talks to strangers like that outside of the US)
3) Clothing
4) Walking like he's taking a stroll in the park. Americans drive cars everywhere, so they are walking with a speed of a toddler. In Europe everyone walks fast since most places are reachable by foot and public transport, and in straight lines - for optimal performance, since going somewhere by car will take x1.5-2 times as long, than hopping on a bus, or a train and walking the rest of the way.
