The danger of wild pigs in Canada

Over the years, wild boars have become increasingly common in parts of Canada. But researchers say these creatures are nightmares.

Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan are sounding the alarm on the pigs. They it's very possible in the not too distant future that there will be more pigs than people in Saskatchewan and that could create an ecological disaster, causing billions of dollars of damage to farmland.

I'm a low income senior and I would gladly accept wild boar for dinner. This is crazy to just eauthanize and dispose of meat that could feed families in need. Or better yet let people hunt them. In areas where people can't hunt them trap them and donate the meat

There’s a ton of pigs in Canada unfortunately they are called government workers and they are next to impossible to get rid of

In Europe, many restaurants serve wild pig meat. People marinate it in buttermilk with some added spices. I have seen it on menues in Canadian restaurants too. I never tried it, but it's supposed to taste similar to domestic pigs.

easy solution. Have a cull and process the meat. Use the Meat for poor people who cant afford to buy it and homeless shelters etc. Lots of hunters happy to help out and field dress the carcass for transport for final processing. Just provide the ammo we need.
