I would remove the wire around the roots to be honest (I did on all my trees a while ago). What the wires do is make marks that will potentially be visible if you ever want to plant the tree higher. I know it's how many people fix their bonsai trees and it kind of feels mandatory to do it that way, but putting one or two stones on top of the soil until the roots have grown into the substrate is just as effective and leaves no lasting scars. With some trees you don't even need the stones if you work the substrate into the root mass well.
