Those little plastic training pots are awesome, i have the exact same ones. Very affordable, drain holes have built-in screens, and there are plenty of little holes on the underside to help with with wiring the tree into the pot. Very good product.

Do you wait until it's very dry, in need of a good watering? I did that with my dessert rose to make it more flexible.

It's amazing that how you know how much to bend without breaking it. I tried making bonsai twice and ended up breaking the branch instead of bending it.

Would controlled sunlight work for naturally making the bonsai grow how you want. Like keep it in a box with a hole on a lateral side.

Whenever i watch a video like this i just remember my full sized tree out front did exactly this despite the efforts made to get it to not bend lol

My tree is also like 18 yrs old and has yet to fall over despite the drastic bends while our community mailbox and multiple thicker trees have fallen to the winds
