Passing Regents exams in NY to get a diploma could disappear

Under a new set of proposals, the standardized test would no longer be required for students to earn their diplomas.

The regent is such a stupid test. So I need to pass a test just to get a diploma.. So yall are telling me that the class grades dont matter?.

When I graduated 20 years ago there were regents diplomas and non-regents diplomas. Of course having the regents diploma helped you get into college better than the latter.

Stupid Stupid to do this. Grades are already INFLATED!! Talk to any teacher. Their grade does not match their regents grade. So many scandals have popped up around NYC where teacher INFLATE grades.

We do assessment testing for new employees (office). Exactly because of that 😂

If you propose this, you might as well get rid of the regents exams. I understand that nobody likes to take exams, but exams are the most effective way to assess a student's knowledge of a subject.

I have seen parents send their kids to charter schools and now I know why. This is ridiculous
