In this video, I will be giving you a guided tour of the MAERSK TRIPLE-E series considered one of the biggest ships in the world. All the merchant navy aspirants going to join the life at sea will benefit a lot from this video, since the general layout of Cargo ships is more or less the same.
The best part of sailing on these ships is the massive ships are the entertainment systems onboard. On this particular vessel we have PlayStation, Nintendo WII, Dayrooms full of board games & last but not the least a full fledged cinema hall.
The GYM is a place which is close to my heart & the ship has a well equipped gym with sophisticated modern day machineries. For sports we have a Table Tennis room, a small Basketball court and a punching bag.

Enjoy the video & don't forget to give it a big thumbs up if you found the video informative .

Also for those who are new to the channel - I am Karanvir Singh Nayyar , a third officer in Maersk , vlogging my Life At Sea Journey.

I served on a WW2 LST (Landing Ship, Tank) in the western Pacific back in the 1960's, it was 99 X 15 meters (326 ft X 50 ft.), with a crew of 100. Our berthing compartment was 2.73 meters by 6.07 meters (9 X 20 ft.) and had 5 stacks of 3 bunks for 15 men, right underneath the main deck. Living and working conditions were HELLISH in the tropics, food was poor, water tasted like it came from a public swimming pool, but the thing that made it bearable was the constant adventure of moving from obscure port to obscure port (and some really cool ones) and getting onshore liberty almost everywhere we went as we were a working ship and always busy. Comparing my LST to your ship would be like comparing a row boat to a yacht. Very impressive vessel and very interesting tour and channel...cheers and a hearty thanks to your company for permitting you to make these videos.

As a Maersk colleague who works in HQ I really enjoyed this tour. Thank you! It’s good to see that the company takes good care of our crews.
I hope someday to get a chance to come onboard one of these vessels in real life 😊

My husband is also a 3rd Officer for Maersk, and although he tells me many stories and shares pictures while he’s onboard, it was very comforting and informative to me to see this much detail in your tour. Thank you for this video.

As a communication technician I've been on plenty of commercial vessels, like to thank the crews from all those different nationalities for your help and support.
I honor your amazingly difficult job and being away from your families.

You didn't want to talk loud on the cabin deck because people may be sleeping. That shows you are a courteous and kind young man. Thanks for the tour.

Wow - the facilities on this ship are fantastic - so many unexpected areas.

I can't believe there's a basketball court and a cinema onboard - it's like a cruise ship!

I'm just in awe over the sheer size of the ship and how much it can carry. Man if Columbus could see that ship.

I work for Maersk in Houston and I always wondered what the inside of the ships look like! I love this!

Thanks for your tour Karanvir. Pre-covid I was a paid passenger on a similar freight ship from Philadelphia to Melbourne (30 days via Panama canal and Pacific). It was much as you showed. I have great memories from that trip. An experience I would recommend to any traveller once in their lives.

I sailed shell tankers in the sixties/seventies. The largest being the 200, 000 ton M-boats. Interesting seeing how the crew accommodation has improved. The cabins on the M- boats of the late sixties were very good, separate cabin with bathroom, day bed and writing bureau. In its day pretty good…it’s a very long time since I’ve heard the nautical terms ..ie: Monkey island etc, …great, wonderful days of my youth

I served 36.5 years on board Arthur Anderson ship, Great Lakes. It was a wonderful career.

Entertainment deck is essential for sailors as being on a ship for months is not an easy task. They need some things for entertainment. My favorite part of the video is the C Deck tour and I also become a kid when I see the games.
And good to see that you are now at home.
😊😊

The Suez Canal, I can smell the air and warmth now. I remember sailing through there and it stuck with me since then. I miss sailing the oceans and seas. Ships are amazing.
