I actually used to work at a Pizza Hut, and as one of the only people that actually did their jobs, I'm surprised it didn't close sooner.

I remember as a kid Pizza Hut was one of my favorite restaurants to go to. The distinctive taste that was consistent no matter where you were. Now the quality has declined so much it's almost unrecognizable and is the last on my list when ordering pizza.

Pizza Hut quality and taste has gone down so much. The one near loads their pizza up with butter so no jone would notice the cheap quality.

There's a fine line between continuing to do what originally made you successful and keeping up with the times. Pizza Hut was a sit down restaurant and Dominos was for when you wanted to order in to watch the game or a movie. Or if it was just Friday night. Honestly, I hope they never fully get rid of old dark restaurants. Those were distinct. You can look at former Pizza Hits and know exactly what they used to be. I don't think I can eat at one of those high falutin new restaurants with the good lighting. Just ain't the same...

The decline of not only Pizza Hut but of most pizza chains in general within the last decade can be summed up by the names; Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Doordash. Pizza is no longer the only ready to eat food delivery option anymore. When you wanted food delivery, pizza was pretty much your only choice. Now you can choose the type of food and restaurants you want.

It is amazing how much better Dominos is run vs Pizza Hut at the current time. I do miss the Pizza Hut buffets that they had at their dine in locations.

Wow ! i was thinking the same thing ! ... i went to Pizza Hut and tried "The Big New Yorker" this past weekend . absolutely TERRIBLE. Just a basic PLAIN pepperoni pizza cut into 6 so it SEEMS like it's "big". Reminds me of the pizzas you get for a 7 year old because it's all they will eat.
Pizza Hut has seen the last of my dollars.

One of the few "Red Roof" locations I found told me they were banned by Yum from continuing their buffet, despite the fact that this location had a profitable buffet

I've been curious about Pizza Hut and the other restaurants for a while. I would love for Pizza Hut to stick around for as long as possible!

The pizza is garbage now. Pizza Hut was the only pizza to eat outside of home during my childhood and during my 20s. It was so delicious. I don't know why they had to ruin it.

Most of these places are suffering because of massive price hikes which is true of Burger King and Carl's jr. I don't cost $15 for a cheeseburger a a Coke and a large fry
