I lived in Greensboro for 30 years. No excitement and very slow i.e. the pace, the way people talk. Jobs are mostly retail and restaurants and Wal-Mart. If you like the slower pace of life and the quietness, then Greensboro is Ok. You like excitement and entertainment and a better place to live out your dreams, then a bigger city is more for you.

I've lived in GSO for 12 years and have never experienced any crime, but the related issue is the slow response of law enforcement for just about anything other than traffic accidents.

Looking at moving down to the Greensboro area. I’m a single, 22 year old male. Does Greensboro have a good night life atmosphere or would you recommend a different surrounding city? I look forward to your response and hopefully will be in contact with you about purchasing a home!

No aggressive driving? She's really wrong on that one. Crime? Yeah, certain sections are bad, but a lot of "good" areas have really bad areas right next to them. You likely have to go out to the suburbs to avoid it. Another topic she avoids is car taxes. Your car is considered property and is taxed. Like most taxes, you pay more if you are in the city limits. Another topic to consider is the pollen here is really, really bad. It's not a place for you if you struggle badly with allergies. It's not an awful place to live, don't get me wrong, but know what you are getting if you move here.

The fine arts center is great. I took pottery there too. Very inexpensive. I live in Charlotte now because i grew up in Greensboro and call it Greensboring, but I do miss the reasonably priced pottery classes.

Great video, but you lost my interest at high property taxes, crime rate, power outages, and ice storms. I get all that here in Dallas, Tx 😂

I've lived in Greensboro for 30 years. There are a lot of good parks and trails here. The biggest negative is the crime.

You really don't know why Crime rate is so high in Greensboro? And don't even mention High Point.

Is the train system that goes to Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Durham Amtrak or something else? If it's not Amtrack, what is it?

Lived in Greensboro two separate times over the last 5 years. It's been fine overall but don't see myself staying long-term anymore like I once did. Definitely appreciate the green spaces. My biggest negatives are it feels way too spread out, there doesn't seem like a lot of nice places to live for the money anymore, for being the third biggest city in NC it doesn't feel like there are a ton of opportunity compared to other cities, and as soon as you get outside of the established parts of NC many small town Southerners have not been friendly when they find out you're from a northern state.

You said that the crime is localized to one area. Which area is that?? I’m changing countries and planning to live in Greensboro. I’d like to avoid the crime areas

What are the more historic neighborhoods that are close to downtown, have trees, and walkable or close to parks?

How is the fine art (specifically drawing/painting) scene currently there? I'm considering moving there in the future. Obviously, I don't expect as much as a bigger city. But, I'd like to move to an area that still has a growing art community. And I know the Triad population in general is growing.
