Japan Series: INSIDE FUKUSHIMA - The Rebuild
After experiencing the Christchurch rebuild over the last 5 years I had a chance to visit the area around the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power plant in Northern Japan. I got to see and experience first hand the struggles of the people that are living there trying to rebuild the towns they live in after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, Tsunami and the 2nd worst nuclear disaster in the world. Even 9 years after there is still much work to be done before people can really enjoy living back in their home town.
I was able to film this Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster documentary after I joined the Japan Wonder Travel tour of the Fukushima exclusion zone in January.
