Wilson RF 01 Tennis Racquet Review | Tennis Express

The Wilson RF 01 Tennis Racquet is the first collection to feature Roger's "RF" logo. This model is NOT a Pro Staff. The racquet's cross-section features a dual taper design to make the racquet more aerodynamic and forgiving. While Roger's previous racquets had a 97 square-inch head, the RF 01 makes a small jump to 98 square inches. The 16x19 string pattern grabs the ball much more so than on the Pro Staff line. Braid 45 is back for the RF 01, this time with a carbon-only braid for added ball pocketing and flex. There are three racquets to choose from. The RF 01 Pro is 11.3 ounces unstrung, the RF 01 is 10.6 ounces unstrung, and the RF 01 Future is 9.9 ounces unstrung. The most well-rounded model is the RF 01, which will fit with almost any game style. The heavier Pro model is ideal for advanced players who can create their own power, and the RF 01 Future is perfect for juniors who want a lightning-quick racquet to develop their game. The RF Collection includes some impressive bags as well. Included is a 15-pack, a practice duffle, a backpack, and a racquet cover.

Surely Wilson’s quality control isn’t so bad that the Future and Regular don’t both have a swingweight of 300 AND y’all’s specs are way different than everybody else’s that the variability within one model overlaps with the other two?! Surely y’all jest?

Are the two rackets similar in character?

Maybe close to the Pure Drive 98/Pure Strike 98's...also the Ultra Team 100

The 300g one has extremely similar specs to an Ezone 98, same variable beam, same RA, same throat design, same balance, similar beam edge shape instead of traditional box.
Main difference obviously is the main shape being an oval, its foam filled and of course the grip shape will be different.
