Have no idea. Never seen a Kangle but did see a female grey wolf once in a cage and she was a magnificent creature. If she was that big, couldn't imagine what an alpha male would look like.

Wolf is a killer and a Wild Beast. Kangal might kill small species of wolf but they got no chance in front of Grey Wolf

Wolf will beat any dog (bigger wolf ofc not some 20kg species). Wolf are overall more adapted and skilled for combat since they live in the wild and constantly have to defend themselves and hunt for food

I think the opposite than some comments, a guard dog has less fear to be hurt than a wild wolf.

I personally think the fight could lean a bit closer to the grey wolf, that it can and will kill a Kangal, but that doesn't mean there's a 100% guarantee each and every time you put them up against one another. I feel both animals are greatly underestimated, and than there's still a chance a massive and excited Kangal could cause deadly harm to a grey wolf if given the opportunity and especially should the grey wolf make a fatal mistake.

Alpha grey wolves are alpha for a reason. The wolf will kill the collar-less Kangal because they are more experienced at going for kill bites, having to hunt larger mammals. However, the Kangal will injure the wolf and that wolf will never be the same. It will go back to a pack & be alpha no more, essentially being killed by the Kangal later in time. Consequences for both.

I've raised a couple of hybrids and given a chance to pick their target they would grab an easy kill rather than a high risk one. Remember even a leg injury could be a death sentence to a wolf. So without the strength of the pack, this is a fight they would avoid.

The Gray Wolf has an edge over the Kangal - It's a wild creature versus a domesticated one.

a wolf is an athlete and runs for miles and miles everyday, all day. The stamina of the wild wolf alone is far greater than that of a domesticated dog laying around it's food dish waiting for a hand out while the wild wolf is tracking a 900 pound moose for miles in deep snow.

People have done experiments with guards dogs (most breeds) trying to break in normally and then covered in alpha male timber wolf urine, when covered in the wolf pee the dogs backed the off instantly. Lot of people commenting here seem to be mistaken to what a timber/ grey wolf is. They are the largest, most aggressive, highest bite force and powerful of all the wolves. They own every dog.
