Which drill bits are best for drilling through steel faster? In this video we test a titanium drill bit and a cobalt drill bit side by side. Both drill bits had roughly the same amount of use.

Not everyone has a drill press, not everyone has the knowledge how to better use a drill bit, so to compare cobalt or titanium bits at the hands of the average joe this was perfect for me. Thank you, cobalt won!

very important to remember to use a SLOW drilling power, if your drill has speed 1 and speed 2 then you need to use SPEED 1, also apply a strong downward force and use a few drops of lubricant.

How about trying on a Drill Press instead?

lol, is the titanium sharp. It should go through iron easily ?

Those are some seriously dull drill bits or they are harbor freight or Walmart hyper tough TOY drill bits.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a bit to drill through brass for a project I am working on. Guess I will go with Cobalt 👍

After seeing the ridiculous title I clicked on this for a quick laugh. Did not disappoint.

those are some good bits but they need sharpening
your technique is really shabby you need to apply pressure and lower your rpm to avoid the bit turning blue

To take a thinner on first will help you a lot
