One of the Best Pre-Built PCs We've Reviewed: $1700 Thermaltake Vista 470M

Показать описание
We bought the Thermaltake Vista 470M for $1,700 from their website to review the pre-built gaming PC without Thermaltake knowing. We've previously bought Starforge, Corsair, iBUYPOWER, Dell, Maingear, HP, and other pre-built gaming PCs and, overall, we've had bad luck finding good ones. After our experience with NZXT's Flex rental PC, we decided to actively try and find good prebuilt PCs. We have several on the way or in for testing already, and this is one of the first that passed our testing. One of the others failed, and a third looks promising. That's 2 of 3! Sadly, a good rate for prebuilts. The Thermaltake Vista 470M has an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super GPU, making it one of the more powerful prebuilts we've bought despite its more reasonable price (as compared to the $5000 computers we've purchased and reviewed).

It's Better Than Dell reminds me that they're probably due for another undercover review.

You could literally buy one of this, win a Fortnite tournament, and it would still be cheaper than an NZXT Flex rental.

"Better than scammy rental PC" Award joins "Better than Dell" Award

Yeah that's a cool PC and all, but I don't know if ownership is right for me. I wish Thermaltake had a Flex Rental program for someone financially vulnerable, like myself

$100 upcharge over DIY is not bad. Good job Thermaltake.

It's worth noting: 5 hours after this glowing review dropped the price and specs of the computer are still the same as in the video. This shouldn't be a big deal, but sadly, it is! (However, it is out of stock currently.)

That was very embracement of exhilarating promise of domination of you Steve.

GN saying good to a prebuilt is the greatest marketing you could ever receive

Thermaltake really stepped up after that takedown video, that's for sure.

I think the NA colleagues will take "pretty good"!

Excellent. Way to go Thermaltake. Having a pre-built I can recommend to all those "what should I buy" questions from acquaintances is nice. Big thanks to GN for keeping us all informed.

"It's pretty good." I can hear them cheering at their offices from my house.

Thank you, Steve! I was tempted by this PC when it was $50 off at Best Buy because I also thought it was "pretty good." Happy to have my opinion validated by you. I want a prebuilt that's not a rip off and is suitable for upgrading. I'll be keeping my eye on Thermaltake. Some of their other builds seem a little dubious but this one was just right.

I don't know, I think I'll wait till Thermaltake 7.

So "We actually kind of like it..." Is a higher tier than the "It's better than Dell" award right?

I am a retired 74 year old Great Grandpa and I've been building gaming PC's for friends and family about 25 years. I personally would have a hard time matching Thermaltakes parts and price for a comparable PC.

When you were making the whole "awards" bit I was wondering whether you forgot about the obvious... "would I give it away to an acquaintance without having to become tech support?" award. Pretty much the highest praise anything can get is this. GG TT.
