Proposition 1 is on the ballot on Nov. 5 this year. It amends the New York constitution to put equal rights for all into the constitution, including the right to bodily autonomy and full reproductive healthcare.

During this webinar we discuss what is included in the amendment and how we can help the public be informed so it will pass.

18:34 ''intentional or not'' This greatly worries me. I'm very worried about is the ''gender identity'' part. Say you misgender a person by accident and they get so mad they want to sue you for discrimination even though you have no intent to harm. This has happened in Canada and elsewhere. I don't want to live on eggshells around people because of that. Also if this amendemt allows biological men that identify as women without any surgery to go in women's bathrooms, I can't vote yes on it. I don't want the cis gender women in my family's rights superceded for other's benefit. I don't want ANYONE's rights superceded over someone elses. As a bisexual disabled person, I do believe in live and let live for anyone and EVERYONE to have equal rights, but not more. Maybe you can put me at ease that this will not give people more rights over others. Thank you!
