Speaking to people in the same company having different viewpoints, my best friend and I worked for the same company for 10 years. It's how we met. Eventually, I grew dissatisfied with my position, utilization, and compensation at the company. I sought ways to rectify that while remaining there, but ownership decided such efforts were not in their best interests. So, I eventually moved on.

My friend, however, found a position in the company that fits his interests much better. It also allows him more leverage in pursuing compensation increases, due to his vital function in the company structure. He never wants to leave.

Two people can have very different experiences in the same organization, even in the same position. That doesn't make one more valid than the other. That doesn't mean the person leaving is a traitor or the person staying is a stooge. People should be able to pursue their own happiness to the fullest of their ability. Always.

Considering gura and her PL have had a lot of psychological problems, mainly crippling anxiety, it's not a big surprise. She probably will feel better as an indie, with no expectations from higher ups.

Was always more of a casual Holo watcher, but I always saw Calli, Gura, Ame and Fauna as pillars of english vtubing. Everyone has a right to find their happiness and if that means moving on to new things, then that's what it means. Love for the Holo girls (past and present) and to all the fans, hopefully y'all find reasons to be happy too.

Gura was basically thrust into mega-stardom like almost overnight and that has got to be utterly terrifying for anyone. That she stayed in that spotlight as well as she did for some 5 years is just amazing.

Lol... yeah, I am like many a little misty eyed over this, the silly shork was very much where my own interest in vtubers really took off and helped show me a whole array of amazing artists and creators that I had no idea existed.

Things have come a long way since my era and journey on the internet began and I am very interested to see where they will go in the future.
