I remember Calli felt so bad received the superchat donation and feels like she didn't deserve it, only for Kiara to smack some sense into her.

Well it has been nearly 3 years since myth and 2 for council. This really does remind you of moments from early myth and council days from a fan perspective as well.

We're at a point where new gens consist of fans, thats cool as hell.

Advent felt like the smoothest gen debut in Hololive since it went global. No Twitter jail, no YouTube freakouts, no unintended scuff, super quick monetization, and the first-month restrictions have been eased a lot. Having been a Holo fan since Myth really makes me appreciate all the things that *could* have gone wrong with Advent but didn't.

It's weird to hear Calli say they didn't have her shit together as much back then because my impression of Myth's debut from the outside was that they were hitting the ground running. (Technical issues aside.)

Most especially Calli. She was the one who released an EP on Week Fucking One, doing some of the last work on the fly and just getting that shit done. On the first month she shipped her old mic to Kiara, who was now becoming a first-time user of a dynamic XLR mic (I remember her talking about not knowing about needing cloudlifters/pre-amps).

And that's also in competition with how Gura just broke records almost without trying. Were it not for the West Taiwan situation Gura would have had a few more Muse Dash streams early on and that would have removed the last stumbling block for her.

I mean, that period was really sketchy when it came to technical stuff (Kiara using a new mic, the EN Curse in general) but I still remember that period as "Wow holy shit Yagoo really is Mr. Worldwide."

But I guess from Calli's POV she is talking about that, the sleepless nights and frantic schedules and on-the-fly problem solving.

I wasn’t around at the time when that happened so it paints me a picture of how it started

I really hope the talents remember how they felt back then and channel that energy once more. They've had their nose to the grindstone and I feel like they forgot somewhere along the way but seeing how happy Gura has been lately it seems clear that at least the shark has remembered.

I wanna point out something I've noticed that INVOLVES forbidden knowledge, but won't name names and if you can try to not do it as well, if we know we know:

MYTH was built on "powerhouses" of different areas: the idol, the artist, the singer, the streamer, the absolute meme... I honestly could make a Captain Planet joke, but as Calli pointed out, initially it was incredibly hard for them cause they basically became the first COMPANY doing vtubing in the west with a JP company mentality and they thankfully did a great job between a combination of luck, weird good timing and their own individual strenghts that built a great whole.

Irys+Council was built with a mixed bag of people with good stuff under their belt but not exactly the biggest presence outthere. Hololive became the place where they could shine, and shine they have. Yes people look at numbers and might think Councilrys havent done that well, but while their boom wasnt as loud as Myth, they have made a name for themselves and all of them will reach higher and higher, let them cook and we will see great stuff (we already have)

Advent... sometimes I wonder if the lore is built upon the people they hire cause everyone in Advent is a freakin professional! And I do meant professional in how to handle a crowd, being a streamer, keep a character, keep a convo going. They were caged in a small place but now brought into the biggest field to play and show what they got and if this first week is any indication? This is gonna be good.

Yeah the honeymoon period is ending already but in my opinion they will be a wonderful addition to the cast, the only "problem" is we now need to learn from our JP bros in how to handle that many people at the same time I guess? xD

Being part of Advent fans especially Shiori~n, really makes me recall the old days, the post debut days, prechats and server full of people that just so ecstatic for Advent, makes me happy.

There were little moments in advent's debut that almost felt meta in how smooth it was. Its probably cause I've seen all the EN gen debuts but this one definitely feels like they've got it down

I've got into Vtubers when myth debut and if there is one thing I've learned since i became a fan is that it's loop of happiness. Meaning how we are so grateful to have these wonderful talents that give us joy that we want to give back to them which in return makes them happy and want to give back to us. And it's at this point i think we've come to realize that we're happy to see new talents shine on the stage they rightfully deserve

Mistakes are made, but it will serve as reference for the future. And to be fair, I think only Gura have vtuber experience in Myth at the beginning. We all can agree that they're doing a good job, with controversies and whatnot.

Hololive and Myth took a gamble, a measured gamble, but still a gamble. Literally no one knew they would blow up that big and only expected mild success like with ID

Without a doubt, HoloMyth are pioneers of internet culture, popularising vtubing on an international scale. They took the risks that no one else even imagined could be made back then.

I'm incredibly proud of the Myth girls, and all they have achieved. They deserve every inch of success they've received, and so much more.
