Whoever made this video has a very broad definition of what saving lives means.

Daz is correct. In the football clips the kicking team kicked the ball and chased it down, the idea is the closer they get to the end zone then it literally just means the other team has that much farther to go in the other direction to score. However, if the ball goes into the end zone they would start automatically on the 20yard line. It’s potentially a swing of 19 yards more for the other team to go if you play it just right.

Anything sports related I love seeing.

The punt return saves are important because if the ball goes into the end zone the other team’s offense gets it at the 25 yard line automatically. Which is a quarter of the field so they are setting the receiving team’s offense back quite a bit if they can keep the ball from landing In the end zone

4:40, multiple ppl have died falling from the upper decks of the stadiums, trying to catch a ball or whatever... just this year a lady and her 2 yr old kid died falling from an upper lvl deck, don't remember which sport though, I wanna say football broncos game but I could b wrong

Correct Daz. Those were punts. The play was the difference between the other team getting the ball on the 20 or where they downed it. Not true on kickoffs. If a kickoff goes at least 10 yards it can be recovered by either team. Also it used to be that there was a net behind the home plate area in baseball to protect the crowd. Now all the MLB stadiums have extended it most of the way down the lines in left field and right field. Protects the crowds from balls and bats flying at them when they are too busy staring at their phones instead of paying attention to the game.

6:01 For a spectator baseball can be one of the most dangerous games. And yet arguably the fans get more drunk and more distracted between pitches. If you are setting along the foul lines you always need to know what happens whenever the pitch it made. Broken bats can be very sharp shards of wood coming at you & baseballs cause a lot of blunt force trauma. I think the last fan to die was in the 80's. But a lot have been injured with some severely so since then. 8:47 Normally it would be the kicking team trying hard to keep it out of the end zone. If the ball goes in it will be a touchback & come out to the other team's 20 yard line. It is surprising how hard it is to start a drive from the 1 yard line versus the 20 yard line.

Enough people have commented on the NFL punt saves, that I won't bother, even though I was ready to write an explanation. But I'll add this interesting fact. In college, the rule is different(there are a decent amount of differences in rules between the NFL and college football). In college, if the ball breaks the plane of the very front of the goal line, its a touchback.

Multiple people have died from getting hit with baseballs or hockey pucks. That’s why there are nets up now and your ticket states that you might get hit

I'd be too nervous sitting on the floor of the basketball court during a game, what, with the risk of any player being flung at you at any given moment - resulting in a very painful encounter. Nope, I'd take a seat farther away, safe from that to happend, and where I'd enjoy the game instead of worrying all the time...
