Gavin Newsom won't appeal parole of Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten

The office of California Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed Friday that the governor will not appeal a previous ruling by a state appellate court that Leslie Van Houten, a Charles Manson follower who participated in the 1969 LaBianca murders, should be paroled. Van Houten is serving a life sentence.

This lady has no business being released. She shouldn't ever be able to live in the comfort of her home to go and come freely. She initially was supposed to be put to death. Those people who had death sentences commuted should be in for life without parole.
