Emak emak di bali yg kira kira berumur 45an ke atas rata rata sdh bisa berbahasa inggris karena sewaktu sekolah SMP atau SMA sejak tahun 1990an pelajaran bahasa inggris di sekolah menjadi favorit mereka dan gencar ada kursus kursus bahasa inggris saat itu jadi dasar dasar nya sudah dikuasai..
Dan masyarakat Bali rata rata tamatan SMA tidak ada yang putus sekolah seperti daerah lain

Just came back from a two month trip in Indonesia (1month of it in Bali). As someone who is a
Black American and can pass as Indonesian based on my looks, I noticed the difference of treatment when it came to me and white tourists. If you look like a local or are a darker skin, you will definitely not get the same respect and utmost treatment as White/Caucasian tourists. Only way I was treated differently was until I spoke and they heard my thick USA accent. Shows the true colors of people from SE Asia. White worship is real in that part of the world. If you’re darker skin or look like a local, forget about it- you’ll be treated subpar and like a second class citizen. SE Asia mentality.
