Shalz, a good way to lose hunger is to use the Gyrodyne from the Immersive Aircraft mod while exploring or staying in one spot.

if you turn on the config option in create to make lava/water's "make detected 10000-block volumes be considered infinite sources for pumps" apply to all liquids, a fun project can be making a giant chocolate vat and pumping it out into a bunch of compactors (and then optionally: destroying your original factory)

When using item filters, you can drag stuff from the jei menu straight to the filter so you don't actually have to have that stuff. (Saw it in a random video no idea if it will work for you)
