Choosing Commissions

⭐️ You might already know that many artists accept commissions and that you can just private message them to see if they'll paint exactly what you want... ?

⭐️ You might know that if an artist doesn't paint what you want, or in the style you want, they really shouldn't mind you asking, and may be very happy to suggest a peer who'll help you... ? Shouldn't we all want to support each other anyway...!

⭐️ But do you wonder what subject matter might make the best commissions...?

I'd say, start with the person the painting's for!
❤️ If it's a gift 🎁, what do they love most...?
❤️ If it's for you 🏡, what means the most to you...?

It maybe anything:
🎨 a pet - a dog, cat, horse, or hamster,
🎨 a person, whether an adult or their children,
🎨 a place - where they love to holiday or go for day trips and afternoons out, or their home or business premises, or
🎨 a possession - their boat or car!

Whatever you want, there'll be an artist who can paint it for you!

You can see behind me in the video some of the commissions I've painted over the last few years, all for less than £100 unframed...!
And I've painted my fair share of children too, but I don't show those paintings to others.

The one thing I'd say is ask early. Ask now if it's a painting for Christmas 🎄...! Many artists get busy!
