Omg, this flower grows everywhere around my city. I never new it was chives, or even edible :))

I love chive blossoms, they are versatile and easy to grow. I cook with them, and they make the garden look great too.

My dad was a bit strange when it came to gardens. He liked the chives for cooking, but also *really* liked the flowers. So he would plant these in places that he planted other flowers. My backyard layout has since changed from he planted these years ago, so they grow in the strangest places, lol … I have a bundle of them growing under some shrubs, a random bunch literally in the middle of the yard, with nothing around them, and under the corner edge of my hot tub, lol .. But I’ll still pick them to use regardless of where they pop up at.

my grandma had chives growing in her garden, and when I was a kid I would just rip some off and eat it as is 😆
I didn't know you could eat the flowers tho! that's good to know

Fun fact: those are not petals, they're full flowers! Chives have an inflorescence composed of several smaller flowers.
