Love these "Movie Science" videos, a great alternative to standard movie reviews everywhere else. The Fantastic Four edition being my personal favourite, bloody brilliant it was. Always great to see Dr. Clifford V Johnson!

The Martian is my favourite space movie. Probably because it's a really depressing scenario but they still managed to make it humorous and also Matt a Damon xD

In the book he suggests the iron man thing but doesn't actually use it so i think they just put it back in because it looked cool.

Without including Star Wars my favorite space movie is probably the movie Serenity. Firefly is my favorite show and I just loved this movie. Loved the characters, loved the space battles, loved the action, loved the comedy and I loved how Joss Whedon wrote it.

I love Clifford V. Johnson, such a great guest!
They said pretty much everything in the movie is 90% scientifically accurate, the only thing they amped up was definitely the storm.

I'm just glad they're making movies about semi-realistic space travel. Our exploration of space is unbelievably important, so anything that sparks the imagination and desire of another generation is a good thing. We're fresh out of Star Trek series right now. We need movies like this to keep the torch alive.

A couple plot holes in Gravity that my physics teacher pointed out 1. Debris would fly around in both direction around the earth, not just one.2. If the debris was flying as fast as it is depicted, it would reach escape velocity and leave orbit.3. When Sandra bullock is flipping in space, they can rotate their arms to stop the spin.

She implied Watney had something to do with his team risking it all to come back for him, which he had no direct involvement in. He only wanted them to know he was alive, and to be able to communicate with them. They committed mutiny all on there own, knowing it could lead them to their own deaths.

Favourite movie set in space: SUNSHINE. Danny Boyle is a genius, just the fact that all his movies are in different genres but are still great is mindblowing.

Usually space movies are so heavy and intense and I like how the Martian kept it light so I'd go with that as my favorite
