You are not lying about the Arcteryx Atom LT, your review is spot on and I bought this jacket based on your recommendation. I wore it once and purchased another in solace color! Thanks for the honest reviews!

You and the gang there are amazing! Just the video I've been looking for based on my questions to you regarding Patagonia Nano-Air Hybrid vs. Arc'teryx Atom LT vs. Marmot Alt B vs. OR Deviator...like you read my mind 9 months ahead of time ;-)

Thanks man!

Man, that was a lot of jackets. There are some nostalgic jacket names too. They used to make a nano-air light hybrid jacket, that I wore under my OR Deviator (back when it was a Polartec Alpha Direct jacket if memory served). It's a surprise the Arc'teryx Proton FL/LT didn't make the cut, it doesn't fit as well as the Atom LT, but a lot more breathable and durable for me. BD also made a jacket very similar to the nano-air light hybrid, the First Light hybrid, it is just a lot warmer.

Great video bringing all of this to our attention, Shawn.

I got a Nano-Air Light Hybrid by the moment It was available in Europe's site and I had the chance to use it in some high intensity activities like touring or hiking and it's a true revolutionary product. I mean this is GOAT! I can't believe how efficient this piece is! Recommended!

I know this vid is a bit older... but lots of great info! I totally agree on the Arcteryx Atom jacket. In either LT or AR/Heavy it's the best fitting and all-around jacket I've had. Great fit and durability and surprisingly warm. Be sure and ask the rep f/Patagonia if they're still using Petroleum byproducts to create all their jackets ;)

Hi Sean big fan of your review especially product from Patagonia. At the 13:30 mark in this video you mentioned a review for a new nano air with dual chest pockets would be out in a few weeks but i cant seem to locate it. Any update? I was going to pick up the Nano Air Hybrid but holding out for the new Nano Air . Thank you and jeep up the good work.

Thanks for the comparisons Sean. I recently purchased the Mountain Hardwear Kor Airshell Warm after watching one of your videos. While I love that "exposed insulation" is very comfortable and makes the jacket feel very lightweight, I can't get the right fit with this jacket. Large is very baggy in the torso but arms and length is great. The arm holes on the Medium are too tight for my arm pits. Which other jacket would you recommend? The Marmot Alt HB sounds similar, but I've read people experiencing pilling after light use with that jacket. Have you experienced the same?

This video is soo timely as I’m going through all this. Which all started bec there are no nano airs to buy. Haha. Can’t wait to see that new sample.

I wanted to get the Kuhl The One but I just don’t think that insulation will hold up well to moisture. I ended up getting the Proton Hoody because I wanted something I could wear standalone in the car and be able to layer when I’m outside. It’s the most money I’ve ever spent on a garment by far. But I can’t complain about it for what I wanted out of it. It would only be better with Climashield Apex or Lamilite insulation. I do have a phenomenal rain jacket made by Wiggys, I would wear it instead but I need pockets for keys, pepper spray and other misc items. Unfortunately Wiggys products just don’t have great pockets.

Thanks for the videos :)

I'd love to find a midweight "active" jacket that is more on the windproof side of the spectrum. I have a ME Aerotherm that I love for moderate temp windy days but it isn't warm enough when the temps drop.

Which jacket does the best job in the wind?

Would love comparisons of the western rise airloft and the new Solomon mountain flex

You should try the sitka ambient jacket. This jacket is incredible for active use

The synthetic insulations in most of the these jackets degrades pretty quickly with use. The exception is Polartec Alpha and similar insulations, such as in the Kuhl The One. The tradeoff is that Polartec Alpha style insulations are not as weight-efficient. Have you explained your business model in any of your videos?

Why can't I find the Atom LT anywhere? The descriptions on most sites, including Arcteryx's own website, just say Atom, or Atom Hoody, Atom LT Insulated, but not Atom LT. I want to make sure I get this one. Has it been phased out? Their website says revised under Atom jacket. Is the revised just as good? Better? Or not quite?

Were you saying that the Marmot Alt HB is simply constructed like the OV Ventus and Vario, or were you also saying the Marmot performs just like and just as well as the OV jackets?

Thanks for this very informative video, really amazing work. I would like to know, what would be your pick between the Nano Air Light Hybrid and the Atom LT for hiking, biking to work with a backpack and casual by 7°C/45°F ? Did you ever tester the Proton FL ? Seems comparable in terms of breathability to the Atom LT. Thank you and please keep reviewing these kind of products 🙃
