Wow that is a great find and it really looked like he was happy that you got them out of his house and he was happy with the 40 dollars. Makes me wonder how many people did not think to make a bulk purchase from him that day because they were worried about the price and they never even asked. Great video.

I have been a photographer for over 35 years. The best thing with Canon is all their lenses, no matter how old the camera are compatible with all canon bodies.

The camera haul is amazing, but I just can’t figure out why that guy was basically giving them away. I mean I understand wanting to be nice and give people a good deal, but this situation feels tantamount to the seller just throwing his money away. I mean $40 for all of that? It’s insane. He could’ve sold them to a pawn shop or eBay or listed them on FB marketplace. I’m glad you guys got them, it’s just a bizarre situation to me. If he’s really doing that well financially that he can essentially donate $2k worth of stuff to strangers, then I guess alrighty then 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Even the ones that weren’t working would obviously still have value for their parts and their potential to be repaired. This situation baffles me lol. Why go to the trouble of putting on a garage sale to basically donate your stuff lol

I've done very well with cameras but not that big of a haul. Best so far is 3 that I got for free after I bought $40 worth of other items. Made about $300.

It’s kinda proof that buying for resale is doing some of these people a service
(And not the scam/scalper stuff some people try to claim)
AS a CTO he obviously wasn’t ignorant of the value but also didn’t want to or have the time to mess with it
Ryan swoops in and makes the guys day by taking a chore off his hands and he makes Ryan’s day by giving him valuable and quick moving inventory at a price that is extremely profitable

You guys are obviously pros, but I’ve had success with asking the people running the garage sale “how much would you take for this?”

Certainly depends on a variety of factors, but little changes like that can be extremely effective! It almost implies that I’m looking for a deal, not just what they “want” to get.
