CodeAcademy is a very popular online resource where you can learn anything from Computer Science, Javascript to SQL. It can be a great place to learn how to code and I go in depth to review it so that you can make an informed decision. Enjoy!

I paid 150 for the year and it was worth it. I’ve completed python 3 and I’m starting to do my own projects

because boot camps are out of most peoples price range - as an experienced codecademy member - I LOVE IT! I have learned more from it than I ever did from my many CS courses in college. Great if you are starting out as I am.

as absolutely beginner the basics for free are very good to learn or find out if coding in general is good for you.
After completting the basics you can still decide to learn on your own with free tutorials out there or pay for this

I'm in the 1st week of Data Science Foundations career path. And I'm not even finished with the trial, I've already learned basic Manipulate and Query statements for SQL.

Im on the full-stack course on codecademy and on my way to complete the front-end part.
I can say that this is very budgetfoul and seems to be great when u start, but when things get more complicated you just lost yourself in a mess without a teacher who explain where u are and what u should do.
I got used to watch other free courses on youtube and without them i couldnt even finish projects on codecademy.
No doubt about the difference between a course like this on and a teached one, im saving money but losing time and understanding. I wanna see if i can go on like this becouse im saving A LOT of money BUT im afraid about things get even more complicated than now.

1:30 "I think learning HTML & CSS is a complete waste of time, no one uses them." LOL Dude, um like the entire internet is build upon HTML and CSS. The very fact that you are looking at a webpage is HTML & CSS in the background lol. You do realize that anything you do in a web browser is built using HTML & CSS. So, yeah, kinda useful

What people need to understand is that the business has full rights to whatever ideas and projects you create using their website tools. And you are not liable to any compensation should they redistribute your idea and make a profit from it. Which I believe is part of the reason the subscription fee is so cheap. Basically it’s a company that’s created a resource that serves as a fishing net for talent and ideas. Which is nothing wrong, but if you’ve got a big idea don’t develop it by means of the website. Think of another project that you’re happy to not have ownership of that will allow you to learn at the same time and build credibility.

I’m on the free app and I’m not sure why but it is so hard to understand what they’re asking you to do. 🤯

Being in web development, you most certainly do need to know HTML and CSS. I stopped right after I heard that. Lol

Hello! I am 12, trying to learn the C programming languages. I am doing this because my tech and designs teacher told the class about competitions of woodworking, blacksmithing and robotics!
I found Codecademy, and I have to ask, are the C programming languages enough to make at least a decent robot, and is Codecademy free lessons good enough to teach the C programming languages?
