15:20 just to mention, what she did initially, backing up out of the way when other people showed up to deal with the issue, is exactly the right thing to do. This guys speaking from his perspective as an ex lifeguard. I'm ex RNLI and worked at sea for 10yrs so I'd jump in too if there were no other options to hand but even if you're a real strong swimmer in the pool, unless you have experience in actual outdoor and not heated water AND at least a heads up on the many different ways a casualty in panic can react and how bad that can go, DO NOT jump in! Raise the alarm, grab floatation aids like liferings and yeet them in, throw them a line but DO NOT jump straight in or you're risking 1 casualty in danger becoming 2 doa.

In sea search and rescue we train to approach the casualty with absolute caution and gain control of the casualty asap when we get hands on. We also train to be aware of how a person may react if in panic and not to hesitate to push, even kick a person who tries to grab at you away. Someone in panic isn't always going to be shouting and screaming and flailing around in stereotypical panic and someone in panic will not hesitate to grab and use you to keep themselves above water! We even train to punch the living snot out of someone if it comes to it...anything to subdue and get them under control.

If someone falls or is pushed in, raise the alarm not only with emergency services or local staff but for everyone in the area to recognise there's an issue and you need help. Grab anything the floats and yeet it in as close to the casualty as you can get it. If there's life ring with line, fantastic. Get that to them and pull them in or at least stop them being swept away. If there's a strong current, someone has to keep eyes on at all times and follow them from the bank as best they can and even point at them so other people can see them and keep track of them too. Unless you're really confident that you know what you're getting yourself into and confident in your ability to recover them AND get yourself out, do not jump in. Edit: sorry for the wall of text. One of my worst shouts with RNLI went from search and rescue to body recovery before we could get anywhere near the site. A young boy playing on a rocky out cropping was hit by a wave and washed into the sea. Their older sister jumped in to save him but they were both swept out and dragged under. The wee boy was only 11 and his sister 16. Hit a little close to home is all with the guy saying "jump in"

I think another reason why YouTube doesn’t improve their live streaming services is because they don’t want to be recognized as a monopoly video hosting if they gain too much of the streamer market.

I strongly believe that if Google really wanted to, they could have the best Long/short-form video and streaming platform with their already existing and massive user-base, analytics, and resources. They just want enough attention for people to know it’s an option but not enough to dominate outside of long-form content.
