It’s possible by law that loggers leave a buffer area close to water. That’s why they don’t harvest trees up to the waters edge? I’ve heard that anyway. Probably for runoff.

Great video. I would bet the LiDar you show around the 8 minute mark depicts an old beaver damn. Helps explain why there is a difference in grass growth and color on the old damn vs surrounding... whatever it might be phragmite vs marsh grass vs cattails.
