A star example of how instructional videos on youtube should be put together. Concise, to the point and well communicated. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this, has really been a pain in the arse using the internet version of discord because the voice doesn't work properly :)

Tutorials like this often fail to work, but not this one. Short, straightforward and useful, 10/10.

It keeps telling me "the action cant be completed because the folder or file in it is open in another program" everytime i go to %localappdata%

I am horrible at following simple directions on fixing stuff with my PC; but you made it super simple and easy to follow. Great video and a prime example on how instructional videos should be formatted and professionally done like yours.

I found a much easier way!

When I went to %appdata% I noticed the file was named "discord", with a small d. I renamed it to "Discord", and then tried restarting discord after also checking %localappdata%. It worked! No need to reinstall.

(May not be the case for everyone, but i thought id share incase and save some people some time)

Thank you - this method actually works. A lot of the other tutorials on how to fix the issue fail to mention the %appdata% step. Finally it works now

For peeps with reoccurring issue: If you goofed up the same way I did, by only finding and deleting the discord folder from one of the two locations indicated in the video, go back to each of the folders (%appdata%
and %localappdata%) right-click on blank, go to Properties - At the bottom, make sure you DON'T have the "Hidden" option ticket, as this can either hide the folder you need to delete altogether, or hide certain sub-folders.

After checking for the Hidden option, restart the process in the vid and see if it works.
