Jensen Huang says kids should NOT learn to code as #AI will do it instead. Do you agree❓

Education can appear archaic. For example, preparing tomorrow's lawyers for the cutting edge of tradition makes no sense to me. When #AI, outsoaring, the decomposition of legal work, #LegalTech and more are ready to provide better, faster, and more affordable legal access, tomorrow's lawyers must learn differently. Coding should be a skill they learn.

Indeed, Computing and education need to change, but we need people who understand how code works to check the black box.

Imagine if we just accepted what ChatGPT produced and did not know about hallucinations 🫨.

Broken code and #AI will likely create broken code too (it will rely on humans describing what they want 🙄 ), and it has caused too many serious issues to be let loose entirely on its own, e.g., think UK post office scandal.

People should use excellent #AI to augment their coding, e.g., co-pilot, CodeWhisperer, etc. But learning coding is more than just writing code. Think about great process analysis, excellent definition documents, engaging expertly with your application recipients, ethics, responsible AI, monkey testing, and more.

#ai will, and should, help coders achieve more and do better. Roles will and should change with #AI. So, the education system must prepare them for the future, not yesteryear. But please, let's not hand over the keys of the kingdom to silicon.

People need to be the central characters in our destinies.

Great people, augmented by great technology, deliver more than just people or technology alone.
