Me and my wife bought iphone 12 pro 2 years ago same time. I charged always 100% but never went down under 20%. She never passed charging over 80% but mostly charge It went down under 5%. After two years my phone’s battery health was 88%, hers was %85. I think best practice is never going down under 20% charge.

It's important to focus on the charging infrastructure issue *ONLY* being about road trips. This fear and range anxiety people have that makes them hesitant to buy an EV is meaningless for all normal daily driving, since you charge at home. I agree that we need to highlight the importance of building out charging infrastructure, but not let it get confused with the "always have to go to the gas station" mentality for fueling your vehicle. It's exactly like your phone; when you travel you'll have to plan how you're going to charge it at the airport, the hotel etc. But when you're not traveling, you just plug it in every night and never think about it.

Great video! The thing about Tesla losing market share is that as long as they are losing that market share to other electric vehicles, they are still becoming more successful to their true mission statement. Love it!

Been driving Tesla a year. Never had to use a supercharger yet.

Instead of market share, we should focus on the quantity of vehicles sold and the total revenue received! Market share will of course diminish, but the massive increase in the number of BEVs on the road is what is important. Tesla is selling about twice as many vehicles in the USA as all other brands combined. ALL OTHERS COMBINED!

I cancelled my Rivian reservation back in February and bought a Tesla instead. Rivian initially said they'd build their own network. But that hasn't happened. I won't buy another brand of EV until Non Tesla charging networks are reliable. There's a huge opportunity here for other Vehicle makers to step in with their own charging networks, or for some other company to build a reliable network.

Imagine owning an ICE vehicle and half or more of the fuel pumps you encounter don't work, are out of fuel, or pump fuel so slow that your Truck takes 6 hours to fill-up.

I found your statistics interesting. I'd be interested in not just in a forward-looking market share percentage comparison but also quantities. Having a lower share of a growing market may still represent substantial growth. Also regarding charging vs gas station locations, this ignores the 2 primary charging opportunities, home & at work, which don't exist for gasoline. If the visits to gas stations eliminated refueling near home or work, the "traveling" need would be far better defined.

They desperately need to update the playback. Give me a button to skip ahead 15 seconds or go back 10 seconds. Trying to carefully move the meter is a pain in the ass

Always a great and informative update on what's going on with Tesla. Thanks Ryan 👍

You should do a video of what fun gifts someone could get for a Tesla owner and their car!

The worst experience I've had is hotels that have paid L2 chargers, $2 per hour for the first 2 hours and $5 per hour thereafter. At 6kw/h it would have been like $50 to charge. Faster, cheaper to go to a supercharger a few blocks away. I wonder what it'll be like when they start trying this crap in the middle of nowhere when it's the only charger for 100 miles.

Mustang owners don't know how bad the 3rd party chargers are.🤣

My new 2021 CUV cost me $21, 000 and I can drive it 1200 miles with just gas and bathroom breaks. $20, 000 in gas at even $5 a gallon and 35 mpg average will allow me to drive 140, 000 miles or 14 years.

Tesla opened up their charging plug. Won’t all cars using that plug be allowed to charge at Tesla chargers? That would solve the problem for those cars, and allow Tesla to extend their charging network to keep up with demand, don’t you think? It would also be good for Tesla.

So all EV's other than Tesla don't have a super charging option for road trips?

Rivian is starting their own charging network. They already have opened a handful in California and other states.

I read about 2 people in a row whose cars were wrecked at a public charging stations (not Tesla). 1 was under warranty the other was not

Rivian has a publicly available plan for a charging network and they’ve opened up 7 locations already. Yes, early days. But Tesla started with a handful too 10 years ago. Please correct that in a future video Ryan.
