Please no reboot! I'm the biggest Buffy fan, still wear my shirt from season 1 I have from 1998, and I just know based on everything that was done with the last season and everything that's come out since a reboot would be a bad idea. Leave Buffy to nostalgia land in our hearts and minds.

I love Buffy, but as many reboots has failed, one is not needed for Buffy. Buffy was born from the movie, same title, and there's no way to add on to PERFECTION . NOTHING will ever change what was done with the original.

They are supposed to be creating a continuation of the show were Buffy will be teaching new slayers now that all girls that be one are now in the show. She has stated she wants to do it btw so just took time for her to want to be Buffy again.

I would definitely watch a Buffy reboot or any show that Sarah Michelle Gellar is a cast member. I watched WolfPack and the Dexter Original Sin shows only because she was a member of the cast. I hope she gets a show soon on one of the streaming services cause she’s one very beautiful actress ❣️

I knew about most of those secrets, especially given how it all came out the last few years. Ultimately sounds like it was an extremely unhealthy workplace.

As for Sarah, she and James Marsters are on record as saying how much they hated "Seeing Red" and I think that storyline (both main storylines in there if I am honest) was completely unnecessary and seemed only there for shock value, I think that made the decision for her and I think it was at that moment she decided that she wouldn;t renew her contract after season 7 ended.

As for the show, it could easily have continued with the rest of them finding and training the next generation, or perhaps taking place in a completely new town with a new cast with the original cast making occasional cameo appearances to help with continuity. Sarah leaving brought Buffy to an end true, but not the Buffyverse.

A reboot could be a good way to invigorate the show although to be honest a continuation with a new cast and slayer and her friends could work just as well. What I would not want however is Joss anywhere near it. No writing, no directing, no showrunning, nothing. Have his name as an executive producer and credited with creating the original show but otherwise keep his toxic mitts off the show. Then it may stand a chance.
