It's a shame what happened in the final. There was so much excitement in that CL campaign and so many memorable wins, 5-0 at Porto, both Man City matches and the Roma home leg. So many storylines as well, with Coutinho leaving, Salah breaking records, Van Dijk transfer saga. We had the Allez song, and the Salah song which is my favorite. The sense of that final being the one-time opportunity also added to the excitement and nerves.
Last year we ultimately won it but the main focus and talking point has always been the title race, until Barcelona. Winning the final is kind of a relief that we beat a lesser opponent and cast away the disappointment of losing the league title.
