In Part 5, of a beginners tutorial on the Linux shell I cover moving, copying, and renaming files with the mv and cp commands. I also cover how to edit and add text to a file using the program Nano. I then use the cat command to output the file's contents to the screen.

I am up to the 5th tutorial and think I got the basics. Very helpful refresher for my job interview today. I have not used linux for such a long time, this should get me through.

These videos are very helpful. As a new Linux user I was a bit apprehensive when it came to the terminal - having not used anything like it before. These tutorials are explained very well and after watching the first few videos I'm already making terminal my first port of call for modifying directories etc

I mucked around with MS-DOS 6.22 for a little bit. It got me interested in using the terminal/command prompt and what not. More recently, I became interested in Linux for the first time, and it looks like Terminal is very commonly used among Linux users. Well, I installed a virtual machine Antegros Base command line interface, and it's pretty the same thing as this. Little did I know (but should have expected) just how different MS-DOS and this are. I had no idea where to begin, but thanks to these tutorials, I learned quickly the basics in how to navigate in the Linux bash. :) Thanks a bunch for uploading this.
