I did this during summer of 2020 with COVID. I was stationed overseas with gyms closed over there. I did it every other day, ate in a caloric surplus and my back exploded within two months. Not to mention I had more than doubled my push ups. I glad you have finally made a video about it.

Thanks for the video, Alex. As the matter of fact it's you, who introduced me into the world of "down workouts" several years ago. Gotta say - 99% of my gains came from this type of workouts. So now I have even a greater offer for anyone, who wants even bigger volume, but at the same time doesn't want to go above 15 reps. Try up&down workout! From 1 rep you go to 15 (for intermediates I would suggest only 10) and then go down. You will not believe what kind of pain and exhaustion will come during this roгtine! Particulary because you trick your own brain by riding a kind of neuromuscular rollercoster. My best time for 10 up&down was 11:25 (neutral grip), however to complete 15 up&down I had to spend more than 30 min!!

I did 15 pull ups/15 body weight rows down workout following your push/dips down style before this video. The workout is incredible and the pump even better.

Love the calisthenics videos bro!, I'm in uni now and don't have the equipment I had at hime for weighted calisthenics, but ur videos showed theres an equal or better way to get jacked. I think you should make a video about a mesocycyle with pure calisthenics to get jacked or maybe even put that shit in a program. Ir better yet have a series where you attempt to do pure calisthenics or smth. Either way keep these bangers coming!!

My Pull up routine looks like this:
2 x a week weighted Chin ups and 1 x a week 10 Down Pull ups and Chin ups respectively . And the results are amazing.
Calisthenics is just the best

As soon as you posted a video of you doing down push-ups I knew I had to do it for the pull ups, pump is insane I recommended for everybody even if you can only do five pull-ups

Great idea man. I've personally been working on 40 pull ups in as little sets as possible combined with weighted dips down from 12. So close to managing the pull ups in two sets, but I can clearly feel some really good strength gains by applying this type of training. Might have to give down 10 pull ups a try.

I did this and it's very effective. I had to rest about 1 min between the first two sets, but then 2 min for sets 13 to 9, from there I was able to go back to a minute rest or so. It's nice to superset this with a pushing movement to really pump the arms.

I got to 30 diamonds down and 30 pull ups at the beginning of corona, I didn't realize how massive my back got but looking back I was huge. These really work

Running a 30 day ‘8 down’ experiment doing 1 arm lateral raises, then switching arms, no rests between switches or sets…adding .25 pounds each day
