Welcome to Savannah! Often thought of as Georgia's most charming city, Savannah is a city that has been high on our list to visit for some time now! When you think of Savannah, you might think of beautiful live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, the historic River Street, and maybe even the iconic movie, Forrest Gump (since some of the most iconic scenes were filmed here). And all of those stereotypical pictures that you have in your head would be completely accurate! Needless to say, Savannah is a city that oozes southern charm, and while there’s no way that we could fit all of the highlights into a single day, we did our best to experience as much of the southern charm as possible! I'm making it a done deal this year in the spring!

Happy belated birthday to Nat! I LOVE Savannah! The first time I visited, I took an Old Town Trolley just to get an overview of the city, and WOW! My guide was fantastic! She was funny, informative, kept everyone engaged and in stitches (plus she was an excellent driver). I was fortunate on my second visit to get the same driver (!) and was delighted once again (be sure to tip your driver/guide, as they do an excellent job). The food is fantastic, the parks are immaculate, the cemeteries are gorgeous, and the boutique shops are oh so inviting. Lovely, friendly city, and I´m looking forward to my next visit.

I go visit my dad in Springfield every once in a while and we go to Savannah while im there. Ive been in the Cathedral Bascilia of St. John the Baptist a couple of times and its huge inside that church!
