I own a small amount of real estate, and that was probably the best thing I’ve ever done. Besides getting out of racing.
One of my favorite things about Dan’s videos is that he gets to the point, he doesn’t drag them out to try and monetize them.

The one thing I love about REITs is that they bust the myth that you need hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to buy real estate. REITS are just listed companies, like stocks. And though they’re way less liquid, the minimum trading requirements are usually in the hundreds of dollars, not even thousands. So not only can you get a foot in the door very early with very little capital indeed, but you can continue to add to it over time. I’m using a portfolio of REITS to save up the money I would have put down as a deposit for a house. The aim is to have that portfolio pay my rent in ten years, and my pension in 50.
