Funny, cause when Blastoise first came out this was the build I used. Eventually I switched to Surf/Hydro Pump but now I want to go back to this since you reminded me of how it worked

This was literally my build since day one of Blastoise release. Only difference was the Scarf was not out yet. Yet when I saw people try it they were never using the Hydro Pump at the proper times and that’s why I think it never caught on. This is also a super aggressive play style.

Hoopa’s Hole with Shadow Ball is a go-to because the extra damage seems better in non-coordinated play. Plus the stun right after the ball hits is not bad

One weird build that I think is pretty solid is Greninja’s Double Team and Surf. Ok, hear me out, water shuriken is a consistent damage move, but unlike Inteleon’s liquidation, if you move around while using the move, some of your shurikens can miss. While as Surf gives you mobility and is one burst of damage. I wouldn’t say this build is better, just saying it isn’t half bad ( I’ve tried ).

good that ppl is finally cookin' on this build, i used to play it a lot in soloq bc i felt bad being the tank without a move that can drives away the enemies from my squishy teammates, and it was nice 👍🏻

Umbreon's foul play and snarl combination is pretty good. I think foul play is better than mean look. I also like pikachu's thunder and thunderbolt combination.

Curse incense mime with barrier and psychic to reduce spl defense and also protect attacker by keeping speedsters at bey, as well as having 3 instances of psychic during rayquaza fights. That's a lot of aoe stuns and spl def debuff

A guilty pleasure build for me. I much prefer the extra burst compared to spout.

A build I've always liked that everyone says is comparatively worse is Eldegoss's Leafstorm/Cotton Shield build. Sure it doesn't have heals or knock ups, but it gives your team all the movement speed. Doing fast rotations with your team to or after and objective feels good! Plus, it helps your allies get away when they are getting chased.
