She is so brave! She did the right thing. Hurting your baby is a shame, asking for help and admitting you are at your limit is not.

This is actually a really good mom. She admitted to her fears and got help to keep her baby safe because she didn't want to risk it😢❤

Finally, someone actually takes mental health seriously. She's so brave for resisting her impulsive thoughts. All of the mothers out there are.

I remember this episode, she had a stroke shortly after but then went back to normal(as in loving her baby) after she got treated

I'm proud of this comment section. It's nice to see people understanding instead of demonizing degrading and dehumanizing this woman

This needs to be in more tv shows. A mom who is at her breaking point getting help. She didn't hurt her child. She didn't throw the child away. She went to the one place you go to get help to prevent a tragedy. Good for you, Mama. I know she's a character and fictional, but that feeling every mom has had it. The I don't think I can take anymore. Dhs should never be called in this situation but services should be provided to this mom.

Postpartum depression is my worst fear. Saw a true crime video about a mother of two who called the police saying she was scared she'd hurt her three month old son. The police just told her to get some rest. A week later, they came back and arrested her for the murder of that same baby.

This comment section DEFINITELY passes the vibe check!!!

She did the right thing. And probably gave herself and baby the best chance of being ok and staying together.

Good mom for choosing to get help when she figured she might hurt the baby!

I had postpartum psychosis after my first child and anxiety after my third. Six full term pregnancies and no issues in the other four... That mental image of throwing your baby against a wall is so vivid and so real that I wouldn't have actually believed I hadn't done it at times. I don't know why that particularly thought is so common among parents with postpartum depression/psychosis, but it is a very powerful thought. I was inpatient twice in the first year of her life as a result and I learned a lot about my ability to love my kids and need for help.

I adore the way he talks to ppl, he never makes them feel like monsters or idiots for not being "normal minded" and I like how the show doesn't treat mentally ill ppl like we're crazy and violent and incapable of making safe choices for ourselves or others. For christ sakes this woman went to a hospital, handed over her baby, and still asked if said baby was ok, and proceeded to accept thr help that was offered to her

She has sense, she recognized she was struggling and sought help, that's a huge step. She's in the right place, she needs support❤

What a smart mom! She knew she needed help and didn’t wait.

PPD was a real concern with my sister due to our shared history of depression. Other than a short depressive period, she was fine.

As much as I love my niece, she’s hit the terrible twos. I’m her favorite target. She is learning auntie will not tolerate her tantrums. She also knows that if she behaves in the store, auntie will let her pick out a new Hotwheels car, same trick used on me at that age.

A calm, soft voice plus not reacting to the tantrum goes a long way.
