SoftStart RV: The Answer to Running an RV AC on Less Power

Показать описание
Now you can run your RV air conditioner(s) with minimal start-up power, even 2 units on a 30 amp pedestal! SoftStart RV is designed to connect directly to the compressor motor and reduce the power surge that occurs on startup. SoftStartRV™ gradually increases this power until the compressor is running, creating a very smooth start that reduces the peak current by 50 to 70% or more. An RV rooftop 16000 BTU, 120-volt compressor can now start with under 20 amps of current.

With SoftStart RV you can:

Run two air conditioners on a 30 amp hookup
Run one air conditioner using only a small portable generator
Run one air conditioner on a 20 amp household hookup
Run one or two air conditioners using your onboard inverter system
SoftStartRV is specially designed, engineered and tested for all RVs: Motorhomes, Fifth wheels, campers, travel trailers, toy haulers, truck campers, vans, and tiny trailers.

Hi Great video. What is the difference between SoftStart and another model Micro Air start 364. Is one better than the other or easier to install.

Ok let's say I plugged my RV into a 110 outlet and the A/C was left on for any reason I unplugged the trailer immediately after realizing the AC was on turned it off then plugged it back any chance of damage to the A/c unit?

This is misleading and you need to research how inverters are connected to the AC and DC sources. I run a class A the AC units are connected to the AC panel via 2 breakers. So your generator and 30 or 50 amp connection supply AC power. Your battery bank does not there is no connection you need a second panel connected to a 3000 watt inverter. I know this because of discussions with my rv mfg engineering department. I have soft starts they work great but I don't have AC do to the AC/inverter connection.
