If anyone is unsure about learning SQL, you need to know its been around for the long haul and no sign of anything replacing it. The SQL I wrote back in 2000 is almost exactly the same as I'd write now apart from new functions. If you will use Data in your career then learning SQL will not be time wasted.

Looking at the title, I thought it was about to be a troll/sarcasm type of video, but you shared nuggets of wisdom. Thanks a lot.

*My students are learning the right skills? Are you? (No, You aren't)*

NEW YEARS SALE Use the code JULY at checkout to get 3 months for $40. That's $14...ish a month. Affordable and real-world.

Stay clear of roles that aren't going to help you. If you want to be a data analyst then I have you covered.

Got straight to what I needed. Thank you

Ok, that’s actually discouraging. I’m a career shifter from Hospitality to MIT. I’m currently self-learning everything about ML from the maths, but I don’t even have experience in the Data Analyst role even though I do have some practice experience using SQL.

Spent 1 year as a data analyst, 3 years as a senior data analyst and 2 years as a BI engineer working on custom built web-based dashboards and process automation before getting my current job as an MLOps engineer. He's right. I am considered "entry level" in my current role even though I have heavy sql, python, javascript and system admin experience. Its just a whole other tier of devops that is highly specialized and fast moving.

I have bachelor in Computer science. Graduated never went a route to find a job but started Food chain business. Been in this business for 5 years now. Sold my company and now I’m thinking to start learning and find a job as ML engineer. My fundamentals in Math is solid. Where do you reccomand I start? Thank you

Please do a video on the jobs which will be most in demand in the next decade.
I mean I do think it must be an ML engineer.

not here in my country.
there's nearly ZERO data jobs for entry-level or junior.
maybe it's a tad bit too early here?

You said that there is no entry level job for machine learning engineer...but if anyone wants to enter in this role as a fresher how can he do that?...I mean what can be an entry level job role for an aspiring machine learning engineer?

Sir! Respect, I was quite not happy about myself for not getting a Machine Learning Engineer job for a long time, but deep down I know that practically, the value I bring to the table will be relatively less, inspite of having good Python and Data Skills. Thanks very much :)

I've been watching your videos and following you while you had few videos on channel.
I like it there is no bullshit in your videos, just to let you know I copied your line "Lets get right to it" and copied your line in my video my community thinks its my punch line, and I like it!

Thanks man really appreciated 🙂

Can you explain why the supply of qualified data professionals is decreasing? I would have thought the opposite.

I’m a software engineer of 3 years that is studying to become a machine learning engineer because I know demand will be increasing there while demand for SWEs may be decreasing in near future. Any good programs you recommend?

Thanks for the content. I know this question is pretty vague, but you think a mathematics degree with orientation on statistics is going to help me more than a software engineering degree to become a machine learning engineer/data scientist? I like to work with data and organize it, I also like the practical but creative work of a machine learning engineer.
I also know that the competition is very high, and I suppose is going to rise up, so I want to have the best image and abilities in the future to work in the jobs that are going to be available.
Sorry if there's spelling mistakes, english isn't my native language.

Is it plausible to skip becoming a data analyst and begin my tech career as a data engineer? My interest lies more in programming and I'm willing to learn and practice as long as I need to, to build a substantial portfolio worthy of the job. Then after 3-5 years of Data Engineering, I'd like to move into ML.
