There is a game coming out that I would not have expected, but its called blazblue cross tag. Its not out yet but it is a fighter that has a few of arc sys developed games coming together for one awesome game with the inclusion of RWBY.

you think Kingdom Hearts is crazy now, just wait until Disney finds a way to work Elsa from Frozen and Moana from Moana into the game... Although if you think about it, Elsa's ice powers and Moana's water powers would work well, especially if you have Elsa and Moana on the same team

Marvel vs. Capcom was great and the 2 was awesome, but I hated what they did with 3.

What about the Dead or alive and Halo crossover? Well its not the most known thing since its not a very obvious thing at first but in one of the Dead or Alive games you can unlock a character that looks like a Spartan from Halo. Its an actual unique and original character instead of putting in the Master Chief, but its pretty cool regardless. there is also a stage located on a space station with a warthog and other stuff in the background.

The developers at Bungie also made a bit of crossover reference in which they added the Hayabusa Armor into Halo 3 as a secret unlockable set of armor which is obviously based on Ryu Hayabusa who also appears in the Dead or Alive series. You can even unlock his Katana as a decorative piece in Halo 3.

I'm curious to know, what made you guys at WhatCulture choose Metal Gear Solid v. Ape Escape over Metal Gear Solid v. Monster Hunter? Did you all decide the former was mless expected than the latter? And if so, how?

jak fighting along ratchet in deadlocked was a real subtle one I loved. Could only really do it in 2 player which made it much more subtle.

2 of my favorites not mentioned: Skylanders ( the crossover being the inclusion of Spyro & Cynder from the beginning, as well as Superchargers bringing in Bowser & Donkey Kong for the Nintendo versions and Imaginators giving us Crash Bandicoot & Neo Cortex ) and call it a cop out pick but LEGO Dimensions ( a LEGO crossover game bringing together DC comics, LEGO Movie, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Sonic, Jurassic World, Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice, A-Team, Knight Rider, LEGO City Undercover, Harry Potter, Portal, Back to the Future and Ghostbusters? YES PLEASE! ). And there's Tokyo Mirage Sessions, a crossover between Fire Emblem & Shin Megami Tensei...and Pokemon Conquest, crossing Pokemon with Nobunaga's Ambition.

oh, and also Dynasty Warriors...Hyrule Warriors is just plain awesome, crossing DW with Zelda. Now we're getting DW with Fire Emblem.

So Mortal Kombat vs DC wasn't Unexpected? Even if it was fairly subpar, I remember at the time, when people saw Batman opposite of Sub-Zero we all lost our shit.

I want to know if this was an order of the best game crossovers or the most surprising crossovers. If it was supposed to be most surprising, then Sony all-stars should have been on there. That game came out of nowhere. I do appreciate the acknowledgement of bomberman/wario crossover. That was the best game to play on the toilet!
