Japanese sword experts Brendon Huor and Lawrence Mok once again return to Gamology this time playing the Iki island expansion of 2020 hit Ghost of Tsushima (may contain spoilers). The guys set off on this new adventure ready to explore the mysteries and challenges the island may hold. Exploring caves, encampments, and meadows of this beautiful game it's obvious why it won best art direction at the 2020s Game Awards. With the exploration of sword skills and sometimes just button mashing follow our experts along as they make their way through the perilous missions that lie ahead. Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure stealth game played from the third-person perspective. There are no visible waypoints on the HUD, and the game features a large open world that can be explored either with or without wind directions to guide you. On horseback, players can explore different parts of the island. To access difficult-to-reach areas, an item resembling a grappling hook is available. The game includes side quests and non-playable characters that the player can interact with.

I've played this game so many times. I like that a single sword attacks can sometimes hit or kill two mongols at once if they crowd together. it's mostly luck when you get those though. so there being actual hitboxes are nice

Unrelated but for a future episode of Total Recoil you guys should try to get Matt from Demolition Ranch. I'm interested to hear what he has to say about certain games since he does so many experiments with guns

I freaking love this game. For so long I've wanted an open word Samurai/Shinobu game. I like the Way of the Samurai games, yet disliked the small separate areas and short branching stories.

This one is perfect to me in many ways.

Oh my gosh yes this is the best Japanese themed video on your channel and this is probably your first video that's something Japanese themed! This is also still one of my favourite games that's based in Japan.

Not to harp on the playstyle, I love it, but here's a tip for when you guys play the DLC on your own time; go for the Shamans first. They buff the other enemies to make them hyper aggressive and harder to stun.
