My brother's friend bought this for me as part of a Christmas present in 1974. I was 15 then. I still listen to this song on my iPod every so often.

What a lovely song. Had my first ever slow dance to this in 1976 - a mere boy of 16. What memories. Looked far and wide to buy the vinyl; lost this some years ago. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for posting. One of my favorite 70s singers--nice to know he recorded a number of appealing songs in addition to his major hits.

On this day in 1974 {December 7th} Andy Kim performed "Fire Baby, I'm On Fire"* on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'...
Two months earlier on October 20th the song entered Billboard's Top 100 chart at position #87, five weeks later it would peak at #28 {for 2 weeks}and it spent nine weeks on the Top 100...
It was his last of four charted records that had 'Baby' in it's title, started with "Shoot'em Up, Baby" {#31 in 1968}, then "Baby, I Love You" {#9 in 1969}, and the third was "Be My Baby" {#17 in 1970}...
Besides "Baby, I Love You", he had one other Top 10 record, "Rock Me Gently", it peaked at #1 {for 1 week} on September 22nd, 1974...
Andy Kim, born Andrew Youakim, celebrated a birthday two days ago on December 5th, some sites says it was his 65th and other sites claim 71st...
* "Fire Baby, I'm On Fire" was not only the last of his four 'Baby' records, it was his 12th and final charted record on Billboard's Top 100...
