Nissan NO ACCELERATION - Easy Fix - Brake Switch LIMPMODE 2012 Versa Pathfinder Sentra Altima Rouge

Car had no acceleration whatsoever felt like car was in limp mode. Wouldn’t go over 1500 RPM. Almost felt like a bad transmission. I was so confused and still don’t know how it correlates. But I did a lot of research and found this same issue in other models.
Might be able to save someone some money.

Thanks for the info I just bought a 09 versa and it was in limp mode and that fixed the problem $200 car runs like a top now loo

My Nissan Versa note the same problem, I changed the brake light and fixed

The root cause of the issue was the blinking LED brake light itself, directly impacting the transmission and causing it to cycle in and out of gear. Additionally, corrosion in the brake light connector and fender light connector can exacerbate the problem. By cleaning the corrosion and replacing the blinking LED brake light with an OEM one, the issue with the transmission cycling in and out of gear can be effectively resolved, restoring proper functionality. Regular maintenance and inspection of these connectors are crucial to prevent such issues from reoccurring.

2014 Nissan Versa is exactly what was causing limp mode in my car. I noticed that you have your rear bumper off. Someone rear ended mine leaving the lights intact. I wonder if that somehow contributed to the issue. Thanks again.

I have the same problem at a 2010 versa but I've got brake lights but it has like hardly any power it takes probably 5 minutes to get up to 60 mph on the freeway it's in just weak runs great it just has no acceleration no power. In park RPM's rev fine but when driving it just does not accelerate at all but I do have brake lights

I have an 05 Altima that has the tcs light pop on and goes into limp mode and unable to shift from park into gear and from drive to reverse or park without having to push the bypass switch down

2012 Brake light is out the car shuts off when i put in reverse or drive. The passenger brake light has water in it.
